Copenhagen Free Walking Tours is temporarily halting our free walking tours. The second wave of Covid19 is hitting hard around Europe and we are seeing many new restrictions in Denmark. The current group size allowed is 5 people max. We are offering private tours for groups of 4 or less.
Private Tours: send us an email: firstname.lastname@example.org for a quote.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Thank you for continued support of the free walking tour concept in cities around the world
Copenhagen Free Walking Tours is a group of local tour guides who have lived in and loved Copenhagen for many years. We enjoy our work so much that we have become one of the highest-rated tours on TripAdvisor with 7000+ reviews! It is free to join our tip-based walking tours, we welcome tips at the end of each tour and the amount you want to tip your guide is completely your decision. Our organization consists of a small union of freelance guides, who provide these tours of Copenhagen. This way we can share our expenses for the fancy umbrellas and the maps you can find in the hotels and hostels around town. So in order to continue running these tours in Copenhagen, all guides pay a marketing fee to "Copenhagen Free Walking Tours F.M.B.A." based on the number of guests who participated in the tour. The current marketing fee for the Grand Tour of Copenhagen is 10 DKK (1,35 euro) per guest during the winter and 15 DKK (2,01 euro) per guest during the summer. The Classical Tour of Copenhagen and The Christianshavn Tour the marketing fee is 5 DKK (,70 euro) per guest during the winter and 7.50 DKK (1,00 euro) per guest during the summer.
We are running our beloved walking tours a bit differently during the times of Covid-19. As of October 202, we are offering the Grand Tour and Christianshavn Tour on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Our guides will carry hand sanitizer for the guests to use throughout the tour. We encourange booking in advance in order to make sure we have enough guides to have smaller sized groups. We encourage our guests to pay via card to avoid the exchange of cash. We want you to feel safe while we are sharing the lovely stories, history and sites that Copenhagen has to offer!
